Network

Network access at the NBER Cambridge office includes both wired and wireless options.

Office Desktops

Most NBER resources are available via wired and wireless networks, however some restricted resources may only be accessible via devices connected to the staff wired network. Please contact it-support@nber.org if you need assistance.

Mobile Devices

The NBER is mobile device friendly, however - the acceptable use policy applies to all devices connected to our network, regardless of whether they are personally owned, or provided by the Bureau or your grant. Computers should be updated with the latest OS updates, security patches, and antivirus protection. We encourage staff and researchers who work at 1050 to use the secure wifi network, NBER-Private. Please contact it-support@nber.org with questions about credentials.
