Final Impacts Evaluation Science Article Data Available via ICPSR (http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/ICPSR/studies/34860)
This dataset is the individual-level restricted access version of the PUF listed above that allows for the (approximate) replication of the results from the MTO article that appeared in the journal Science in September 2012 (see above for specific citation information). The data are from the MTO Final Impacts Evaluation, which took place in 2008-2010 (10 to 16 years after families were randomly assigned). The variables available on the dataset are a subset of those collected as part of the MTO final (or long-term) evaluation. For reasons of confidentiality, researchers need to apply to the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) for access to the data.

Other restricted access data from the MTO final impacts evaluation are available via Data License Agreement with the Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It may be helpful to review the MTO survey instruments before submitting an application, and including specifics about the survey questions of interest may expedite HUDÂ’s review of the application.
