Matched set of Indonesian BPS subdistrict (kecamatan) codes
This file provides a matched set of Indonesian BPS subdistrict (kecamatan) codes for the period 1976-2002 for use with corresponding BPS data. Each row in the dataset shows a subdistrict as it existed in 2002, as well as its corresponding name and codes in all previous years for which we could obtain data. Subdistricts were merged, by name, from 2002 back over time using electronic and paper sources. When subdistricts had split over time, we used names and maps to construct which subdistrict the split subdistrict came from. We estimate about an 80%-90% match rate over this period. This data is free to be used for non-commercial, academic purposes, with no warranties as to the accuracy of the data.
