This project builds upon ongoing RDRC-funded work on how retirement outreach programs can better address disparities in retirement preparedness across Black, Hispanic, and White workers. The baseline project was conducted as a survey and experimental intervention administered through the Understanding America Study (UAS). The proposed new project would focus on differential impacts by gender, as well as race. It would study these impacts using the UAS data previously collected; new qualitative data from women workers (traditional and non-traditional), collected through focus groups; and SSA administrative data linked to the UAS through the Understanding America Study’s LINKAGE enclave.
