NB21-01: Children Receiving OASDI and SSI by State and County, 1970-2019: Description and Fifty Years of Data

SSA programs provide economic security to many children under age 18, but relatively little is known about the geographic variations in receipt of benefits by children. This project will create a dataset with the number of OASDI beneficiaries and SSI recipients who are children under age 18 for each county and year from 1970 to 2019, spanning a full 50 years. Payment information will also be included in the database. This is the third phase of an ongoing RDRC database development effort that has already compiled geographic data over this period for adult recipients of OASDI and SSI.
