Expanding the Research Community on the Economics of Crime

This project will advance the pace of research discoveries on the determinants of crime and the effects of the criminal justice system on crime and on households and firms more generally. This research will serve as the starting point for subsequent dialogues with policy-makers on the challenge of reducing criminal activity in the US, and on which of the various policy options are likely to be most beneficial per dollar of budget spending.
