The Census Bureau provides delineation files listing core based statistical areas (CBSAs), combined statistical areas (CSAs), metropolitan divisions, and their components by FIPS state and county. The crosswalks files provided below are created directly from the Census Bureau's files.

These files can be linked via FIPS codes to CMS's SSA to FIPS CBSA and MSA County Crosswalk to get SSA County codes or MSA codes though users should be aware that it appears that CMS did not update their SSA to FIPS county crosswalk to use 2010 Census definitions. The Census CBSA to FIPS County Crosswalk source file includes the year Census made the listing.
