Many meetings at the NBER Summer Institute will have a Zoom option. Most presentations will be livestreamed on Youtube.
For meetings with a virtual option:
Remote presenters: Presenting remotely will be the same as any other Zoom meeting. Your presentation will be seen on Zoom and on the screen in the meeting room.
In-person presenters: Presenting in person will also be like presenting at a Zoom meeting. The podium laptop display will be sent out over Zoom/Youtube and also projected onto the screen in the room. Please stay at the podium with the camera and microphone during your presentation and also while you are fielding questions.
Please plan to bring your slides on a USB drive and put them on the laptop at the podium in the meeting room before the meeting starts. Do not email your slides to NBER staff.
Presenters should open their slides and click the Share Screen button on Zoom to present in the meeting room. Otherwise the remote audience will not be able to see your presentation. People have lots of Zoom practice by now, but feel free to practice sharing the screen and testing your slides early.
Please label your presentation with something distinctive like your last name. “NBER presentation” is of less value on our shared laptop than it might be on your own computer.
